Codex setup — Era documentation

Add this server to user ~/.codex/config.toml. Supply the MCP card’s key securely as ERA_MCP_KEY in the environment that launches Codex; do not put its actual value in TOML. This is a Bearer key, not an OAuth session from codex mcp login.

Prepare the key first

Complete Apps → MCP in setup. Match the example origin to your own card’s URL.

First read

List Era tools. Find Demo customers and summarize only.
Do not change records; include identities and sources.

Check client connection state and the actual records_find result. Update and reconnect after rotating the key. Role/module checks are enforced on the server; do not repeat waiting approvals.
