Setup for agent
A prompt any coding agent can follow to install Era Brain into itself — you only approve the sign-in.
Paste this into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent. It works out which assistant it is, installs Era Brain the right way, asks you to approve Era's sign-in in your browser and checks that memory works. It never handles a key.
Set up Era Brain as your long-term memory. Follow https://github.com/geteraio/era-brain-plugin/blob/main/SETUP-FOR-AGENT.md. Ask me to approve the sign-in in my browser; never handle keys yourself. The Brain setup in Era (Memory for my AI, or /onboarding/brain) has the same prompt behind Copy setup prompt, with your Era's address filled in.
What the agent does
Claude Code — installs the plugin:
claude plugin marketplace add geteraio/era-brain-plugin
claude plugin install era-brain@eraCodex — adds the server, starts the sign-in and appends the memory section to ~/.codex/AGENTS.md:
codex mcp add era-brain --url "https://app.getera.io/api/mcp?tools=brain"
codex mcp login era-brainCursor or another MCP client — adds a remote MCP server era-brain at https://app.getera.io/api/mcp?tools=brain.
Asks you to approve Era's consent card: you choose the workspace; Era Brain · memory is ticked; you can make it read-only.
Calls search_memory with test to check the connection. An empty answer is fine; unauthorized means the sign-in is not finished.
Keeps the rules: recall before answering about people, preferences and past work; save one self-contained fact when you say something durable; never save secrets; forget or correct when something changed.
