Files and screens

Save files to Era, download them, import spreadsheets, export a whole list and open screens with era.

To share a report you made in the terminal with your team, bring an Era attachment onto your computer or turn an Excel file into records, use the era file commands. Every file you save goes to Era's Files and is visible from all your devices.

Saving a file to Era

era file save "output/report.pdf"

A relative path is resolved from the terminal's current folder. By default the file goes to the Files → Era folder and a file card appears in the chat. For a large file, Era returns a one-time upload command: run it and the file is uploaded.

Exporting a whole list

If you want all leads, or every row of a table, as one spreadsheet, you don't need to page through them:

era file save --export '{"type":"lead"}'
era file save --export '{"type":"table_row","table":"Stock"}' --format csv

Era collects every row on the server, builds an Excel (xlsx) or csv file and tells you how many rows it wrote. Inside --export you can use the same filters as records find (q, status, where, table, module).

Downloading a file from Era

era file get "<file-id>"

The command returns a short-lived download link and the command to save the file. Run that command in your terminal and the file lands in the work folder; then open it with any tool you like.

Importing a spreadsheet

# Add the rows of an Excel file as leads
era file import "in/leads.xlsx" --target crm

# Create a new table
era file import "in/stock.csv" --target table --title "Stock"

# Create a table and a dashboard for it
era file import "in/sales.xlsx" --target dashboard
TargetResult
crmThe rows are added to Sales as leads
tableA new table is created
dashboardA table and a dashboard for it are created

When you give a local file, the command first saves it to Era and then imports it. If the file is already in Era, pass --file-id "<file-id>" instead of a path. For a large file, run the returned upload command first, then import with the file id it returns.

Opening a screen next to the chat

era open opens an Era screen next to the chat so you see it straight away.

era open record --type customer --id "<customer-id>"
era open list --type lead --filter "Istanbul"
era open file --id "<file-id>"
era open approvals
era open page --path "/finance/invoices"

What can be opened: record, list, file, site, approvals and page.

File and table work runs with your permissions like every other command: if the Files module is off or you may not import, the command is refused.
