What changed: 14 October 2026

These notes describe user-visible changes to chats, sources and business screens. Implemented code and verified live deployment behavior are different.

14 October 2026 — Era beside business pages

Web and desktop open chat beside the current page with Era or Ctrl + .. Resize the pane and retain its preference. Ask Era on ticked rows fills the composer without leaving the page. See pane guide.

Chats and files

• Files, context, agent/app mentions, permission mode, model, microphone and send/stop share one composer.
• Source selection is one line: your connected provider and model. Model tabs use the shared catalogue.
• The sidebar shows five recent chats and See all, without a second chat column.
• Redundant record cards were removed; tool steps, files and approvals remain.
• File previews use the correct server and file types; file-based previews replace old expiring image URLs.
• Old local-cache links can resolve to saved Era Files copies; an unsaved file does not appear on another device.

Sources and memory

• Auto can try the next eligible source at a plan limit; explicit choices report why they stopped.
• Personal API keys serve personal calls without entering the shared workspace key.
• Subscription Chat / Workflows / Brain switches are prominent, with clearer disabled preferences.
• Desktop Era turns can receive permitted memory context on each turn.
• Google's subscription is labelled Antigravity; Gemini model names are retained.

Settings and navigation

• Web and desktop share Personal / AI / Organization / products / Advanced ordering.
• Settings is a single sidebar-footer entry, without a duplicate in the account menu.
• Workspace selection displays organization and workspace together.
• Imported roles show readable names; grants for nonexistent reports are hidden.
• Desktop caption-button, pane and settings-scroll overlaps were corrected.
• Some live-state polling intervals were reduced; hidden rail polling can pause.

Known limits

Desktop context-window rings and auto-compaction have no exact web twin. Cross-device files require saving to Era Files. Do not assume another member's shared PC can run your chat. Some catalogue prices are estimates; billing services still need configuration.
