Core concepts

Workflows

Connect an event, conditions and operation steps into repeatable work.

A workflow defines the steps to take when an event or time arrives. Operations teams use it for application follow-up, internal alerts and data work. An agent reasons from instructions; a canvas workflow consists of blocks and connections.

Where to find it

Web: Workflows, /workflows. Desktop: Business → Workflows. Legacy /automations links redirect to workflows. Connect blocks on the canvas and inspect results/waits in runs.

Drafts do not start running

Installing a template or asking Era for a draft does not activate an event listener. Review inputs, account and recipients, then complete deployment.

Turn it into a job

Choose the trigger

Select manual, schedule, module-event, webhook or a supported app/chat/API trigger. The relevant module must be enabled for its event trigger.

Map data to steps

Map event fields to block inputs. Conditions, loops, parallel branches and waits organize supported jobs. Check results with fixed demo values first.

Deploy and monitor

Deploy after checking recipients and sources. Distinguish successful, failed and waiting blocks in run details; decide a human-approval wait on its existing card.

Sources and settings

AI blocks save source and model together. The Workflows use switch in Settings → AI → My subscriptions, /settings/ai/budgets spending caps are separate settings. There is no standalone Workflows settings page; trigger time zone/overlap is configured on the canvas.

Access and retries

The deployer’s current access applies. workflows.manage governs management; target-module access governs record changes. Restarting a waiting call does not resolve it. An external write may have completed; inspect block output before rerunning a failed workflow.

Ask Era

Draft a workflow that notifies the owner internally on a new application.
Show conditions and recipient; do not deploy before I review it.

Continue with blocks and triggers, templates and runs and agents.
