Connect your subscription or API key

Era orchestrates work through your connected AI source. Use a supported source such as Claude Code, Codex, Antigravity or Grok, or connect your own API key.

Set up a connection

1. Open Settings → AI and choose a provider connection.
2. Complete its offered subscription sign-in flow. Never put provider passwords or API keys in chat.
3. For API use, add the key to the supported provider’s connection settings.
4. Open the model control in chat and inspect the chosen source. Models and usage limits depend on the connected provider account.

How is usage billed?

Subscription and API accounts are separate. API key usage is billed to the provider’s API account. Having a subscription does not include API usage in that subscription. Connected image, video and voice services also use their own provider terms.

If the source is unavailable

Check connection status, provider quota and any required desktop connection. Local computer work requires the desktop connection. Read the stopping reason and explicitly choose another source if needed. Disconnecting from Era does not cancel the provider subscription.

Team access

A saved connection does not grant access to every member. Sharing and workspace permissions still apply. Changes requiring management access must be made by an authorized member.
